OECD to Unveil 2026 Economic Impact Assessment of Global Minimum Tax in Webinar

The OECD will host a webinar on 15 July 2026 to present the latest findings from its 2026 Economic Impact Assessment of the Global Minimum Tax. The session will set out updated estimates of the tax’s effects, incorporating recent developments including progress on implementation across jurisdictions.

The Global Minimum Tax is designed to ensure large multinationals pay an effective rate of at least 15% wherever they operate, a cornerstone of the OECD’s drive to strengthen international tax co-operation. The assessment is expected to update earlier projections on revenue gains and the narrowing of profit-shifting incentives as more countries bring the rules into force.

The briefing is also expected to cover the Side-by-Side package, reflecting the evolving design of the regime. It comes as in-scope groups work through their first filing obligations, making fresh data on the tax’s real-world impact especially closely watched.
