A four-member delegation from the European Parliament’s Subcommittee on Tax Matters (FISC) concluded a visit to Washington and Delaware, calling for concrete results in EU–US tax dialogue.
MEPs backed the Side-by-Side system as a basis for simplifying global minimum taxation and reviving digital economy talks, but criticised the US removal of beneficial ownership reporting and Delaware shell company anonymity.
The visit brings no legislative changes or new EU–US tax agreement, but signals FISC’s transatlantic priorities, including tax information exchange.
