Bermuda’s Corporate Income Tax Agency (CITA) has issued General Guidance Notes (version 1.0, dated 8 October 2026) under the Corporate Income Tax Act 2023.
The notes reissue the Government’s November 2024 FAQs, with minor updates on elections, permit companies and economic transition adjustments for insurance contract liabilities.
New guidance covers discontinuances and mergers or amalgamations out of Bermuda; departing entities remain taxable up to departure and must settle filings before deregistering.
